Controlled access from the perimeter to the cabinet

Acsys integrates its keyed and keyless mechatronic locking technologies with the Smart Access mobile app, powered by iAMS Enterprise, enabling data centre operators to control and manage workforce access to perimeter gates, outdoor plant equipment, utility rooms and cabinets.

The data centre access challenge

Traditional Mechanical Locks Increase Security Risks and Operational Inefficiencies

As data centres expand, reliance on mechanical keys and locks with manual access management without digital integration leads to longer delays, greater administrative burdens, and increased security risks.

High volume access management for Tenants and Vendors

Tenants, vendors and maintenance engineers regularly access assets they are authorised to use.

Outdoor Assets Beyond Controlled Areas

Cooling systems, power generators, fuel storage and perimeter assets are often situated outside controlled areas.

Locks and Keys Are Replaced When Tenants Change

Each tenant change requires locks and keys to be replaced to ensure security for the incoming tenant.

No audit trail or traceability of tenant access

Tenants must be provided with digital access records to support their auditing requirements.

One integrated Access Management Ecosystem

Lock, Key, Software

Inside the building

Keyed and keyless mechatronic cylinders for restricted doors, network rooms, control rooms and technical cabinets, operated through authorised Bluetooth keys or the Smart Access mobile app.

Outside the building

Keyless and keyed padlocks on perimeter gates, transformer yards, generator and fuel areas, cooling plant and outdoor utility cabinets.

iAMS Enterprise

One control centre for every access point

Grant, schedule and revoke permissions by user, asset, role and time, indoors and outdoors, and review consolidated access activity across the whole estate from a single system.

How it works

Deploy · Authorise · Manage
01

Deploy the right access point

Choose power-independent keyed locks operated by authorised electronic Bluetooth keys, or battery-powered Bluetooth locks managed through Smart Access mobile application, based on the asset and operational workflow.

02

Authorise the user

Users are granted authorised access via the Smart Access mobile app or a time-limited CGS Plus code. In areas without a data connection, authorisation can be issued in advance or on demand through iAMS Enterprise at the control centre.

03

Manage Access with iAMS Enterprise

Grant, schedule and revoke access permissions, and review consolidated access activity across all assets.

Applications of Access Management

Across Every Type of Data Centre

Extending Security Beyond the Building

Data centre security goes beyond the building. Access must be controlled and managed across critical outdoor infrastructure, perimeter access points, power and cooling systems, fuel storage and restricted rooms.

  • Perimeter, security gates and external access points.
  • Power distribution systems, switches and low voltage panels
  • Cooling towers and service zones
  • Backup generators, energy and fuel storage areas
  • Co-located entrances and restricted external doors
  • Network rooms, control rooms and cabinets

Passive assets that support data centre operations are located outside the building, where they are exposed to harsh environmental and weather conditions. The keyed and keyless cylinders and padlocks are designed to meet the following specifications, ensuring resilience in demanding outdoor environments and a high level of security.

Ingress protection
IP68
Operating range
−20°C to 65°C
High performance and environmental robustness
EN 15684 (cylinders) / EN 16864 (padlocks)
